Other notable highlights in Janie's extensive theatrical career include: Masha in The Three Sisters (Chichester), Maria in The Sound Of Music and Nellie in South Pacific (Sheffield Crucible), Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet for Dame Judi Dench and Sandy in A Connecticut Yankee.. (Regent's Park), and four hugely enjoyable and enriching seasons with her beloved Alan Ayckbourn at The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

Most recently, Janie appeared as Kate in Harold Pinter's Old Times at The Gate Theatre, Dublin, as part of the dramatist's 75 th birthday celebrations.   She then joined a star-studded cast, including Michael Gambon and Jeremy Irons, at The Albery Theatre, for a rehearsed reading of Celebration in honour of Pinter receiving the 2005 Nobel Prize For Literature.

On television, Janie plays Emma Lavenham alongside Martin Shaw in the BBC's adaptations of P.D. James' Adam Dalgleish novels.   Other notable roles include: Caroline Harrington in Midsommer Murders, Remy in London's Burning, and Helen in the BBC Drama Little White Lies with Peter Bowles and Tara Fitzgerald.

Janie will soon be returning to Scarborough to tackle the daunting role of Susan, the downtrodden fantasist,
in Alan Ayckbourn's Woman in Mind. In the meantime, she is delighted to be renewing her acquaintance
with David Soul, and to have the opportunity once again to stretch her legs and vocal chords!
