Matthew trained with Gwent Young People's Theatre and at Rose Bruford College.

Since graduating in 2003 his credits have included: Savage/Love (Old Red Lion), Bye Bye Birdie (Landor), Radio Days and TV Times (UK Tour), and Alice Through the Looking Glass with (London Bubble).

From 2001 to 2004, Matthew was Resident Composer and Musical Director for Gwent Young People's Theatre. His work there included productions of The Canterbury Tales, The Silver Sword, Alice's Adventures Underground and Tales From Ovid.

Matthew has spent the last year at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury. He has played Shahryar/Ali in Arabian Nights (Christmas '04), Fatty in Mack & Mabel , and most recently Mowgli in The Jungle Book (Christmas '05).
