GARY DIXON
Sound Designer

Gary started his sound career 20 years ago with the great British tradition of Pantomime. He quickly entered the West End and has been Head of Sound on some of the world's greatest musicals such as "Les Miserables", "Miss Saigon", "Evita", "Carmen Jones" and the world premier of "Saturday Night Fever" at the London Palladium.As Production Sound Engineer his work includes: "Beauty and the Beast", RSC Stratford, "5 Guys Named Moe", UK tour; "Fidelio", BBC4 live broadcast, both the English National Ballet season and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and "A Life in the Theatre" Apollo Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue.   He was also Associate Sound Designer for the Watermill's production of "Sweeny Todd" and supervised all of the tour moves.

His Sound Design credits include; "Goodnight Mr. Tom", Library Theatre, Manchester; "Piaf", "Cinderella", "Dreams from a Summer House", "Firebird", "Arabian Nights" and "Jungle Book" Watermill Theatre, Newbury, "Les Miserables", Karlstad, Gothenburg and Malmo, the Scandinavian premiers of both "Elisabeth" and "Mozart" in Karlstad, Sweden, the NYMT's production of "Oklahoma" which played in Belfast, London and the International Festival of Musical Theatre, Cardiff, "Pinafore Swing", Watermill Theatre and UK tour and more recently "Mack & Mabel", Watermill Theatre. He will also be designing the sound for the Watermill's production of   "Hot Mikado" later this summer.

Gary also spends a great deal of his time working in the corporate field for such clients as Vodafone,
Meryl Lynch, Wella, AA, Hewlet Packard and The Home Office. Along the way Gary has been fortunate
enough to work with some of the world's greatest artists from many different genres including; Sting,
Engleburt Humpadink, Harry Connick Jr., Art Garfunkel, Larry Adler, Andrea Bochelli, Evelyn Glennie,
Charlotte Church, Elaine Paige and Gloria Gaynor amongst many others.
